Not bad for a hangover run.

Run fast for your mother; run fast for your father /
Run for your children all your sisters and brothers /
Leave all your love and your longing behind.
You can't carry it with you / if you want to survive

5 mile run today on the schedule--but after days of Holiday Celebrations and the consumption of too much wine--I was worried about how productive this run would be.  Dry heaving through a run is never fun.

The weather was perfect (well, perfect for this time of year in the NE)--mid 30s overcast--minimal wind.  No other ladies showed up????  I know that everyone is so busy this time of year.

I got moving right away--first mile 8:51---finally a mile under 9 minutes--unfortunately, I could not sustain that pace--but I will get there.  I stayed fast though (well, fast for me).  First 2 miles was paved trail, then 1.5 trail (had to slow down so I didn't get all tripped up on roots), next 1 mile hill, and finished strong.  Not bad for a hangover run.
